So What is Ascaris ?

 Ascaris Lumbricoides is a Parasite , Also known as Large Roundworm , The most Common Parasitic Worm in humans

this Worm is spread Through Fecal-Oral Route (By Eating food cooked by un-washed hands) leading to this worm being ingested by the people through food and then this Worm gets into one's stomach into Its Larval form and grows in our stomach from about 18 days to several weeks, even this can reside in a person's gut for several weeks without even showing its sign or symptoms. they Get into the blood and Reach our lungs through the blood stream where they Grow into actual worms and are coughed up and Reach the Stomach for the 2nd time and Become Actual Worms hence looking like Spaghetti.


what are signs and symptoms of this Parasite ?

This Parasite can Remain in gut without showing any symptoms but they can be seen during the passage of feaces with close inspection but if Become irritated can cause severe symptoms like
  • Bloody Sputum
  • Cough
  • Fever
  • Abdominal Discomfort
  • Instestinal Ulcer 
It is the Leading Cause of Loffler's Syndrome , one of the complications of Ascaris
